Posted on May 1, 2019 by in No Limit, Results Posted

1st Place – tend2it

tend2it's Ariel Atom 3.5R

tend2it secured 1st place for the Automobile contest with his recreation of the Ariel Atom 3.5R. Utilizing a mix of Zen Magnets and colorful Neoballs, he was able to construct a solid build and achieve nice contrast between separate parts of the vehicle. For a layer by layer construction, check tend2it’s flickr page. 1st place awards tend2it with $140.

2nd Place – DBOI

DBOI's Semi-Truck

In 2nd place, DBOI constructed a 10 million dollar Semi-Truck with gold Neoballs. A simplistic design, yet the truck is unmistakable. However, this was not the only vehicle DBOI attempted, “I tried a school bus first, but it failed. I tried a tank, but I didn’t know if it went with the rules.” Persistence is key, friends. DBOI is awarded $80 for 2nd place.

3rd Place – Dufko

Dufko's Formula One

3rd place goes to Dufko for the Formula One racing car. He says the design is one that he’d made before and decided to revive for the contest. A nice simplistic design, solid proof that you don’t need thousands of magnets to achieve recognizable designs. The subtle touches of Gunmetal Neoballs for the wheels is nice. 3rd place grants Dufko with $50.

4th Place – lukalderon

lukalderon's Ferrari 156

Last but not least, lukalderon secures 4th place with his Ferrari 156. Another great example of how simple a design can be and still strongly convey the subject matter. 4th place earns lukalderon with $30.
