61.5 Chain Reaction – Winners Announced

Posted on Dec 3, 2018 by in No Limit, Results Posted, Video

1st Place: Mathnetism

Mathnetism’s magnetic ghost dominoes pulled ahead for the big win. The columns topple each other without ever touching, and the constructions themselves are quite precarious to build. Mathnetism receives $250 in Zen Credits for 1st place.

2nd Place: Aidan

Aidan’s clever use of completing a chain to initiate a reaction favored well with the judges. Aidan has $100 in Zen Credits rolling his way for 2nd place.

3rd Place: KLAW

KLAW’s magnetic pendulum construction gathers skewered spheres. The pendulum grows longer each time enabling it to gather all the spheres, until collapsing under it’s own weight. KLAW receives $60 in Zen Credits for 3rd place.

4th Place: Jett Williams

Jett utilized some LEGO to keep his magnets separated, until the reaction yanks the magnets from their comfy resting place. The reaction sends the magnets flying, definitely the most chaotic reaction we received. Some good slo mo here, folks, if you haven’t watched yet. For 4th place, Jett receives $40

5th Place: DBOI

DBOI had a similar idea to Aidan, though demonstrates that the magnets will follow the chain like a train on a track as they roll up. No doubt the stunning special effects and epic music helped slip DBOI into 5th place, earning him $20 in Zen Credits.
