Winners Announced!

Another incredible turnout, and many impressive entries. With ties for third and fourth place, six contestants will be receiving prizes this round.

1st Place: Koozdra

Koozdra work represents the pinnacle of geometric mastery, so there’s no surprise that his fractal-esque object took a 30% lead over second place. As with most of Koozdra’s work, background is white and inconspicuous, and the absence of such photographic condiments makes sure that your eyes are completely on the sculpture. As usual, our team wouldn’t be able to recreate Koozdras baffling geometric objects, in this case a thick dodecahedron frame that seems to have sprouted roots. It’s amazing how seamless the edges of this sculpture is.

2nd Place: Sean

This is a rather impressive frame of a truncated icosahedron. It takes an ample amount of discipline and precision to pull off a large scale polyhedra frame such as this one. The lens seems slightly smeared, though the photo upload is in a gorgeously high resolution. The shadows give the photo a great sense of perspective.

3rd Place Tie: Ffrangconator

Striking and memorable, Ffrandconator has created an ultimate ball with ten different colors. This is a must see in original size.

3rd Place Tie: Mathnetism

A clean and satisfyingly symmetrical shot of this amazing dodecahedral design is featured with a bright bold background. Very precise camera work.

4th Place Tie: LeftCoastGal

Simple, eye catching, strongly saturated and great composure. The background is white, but the levels are balanced just enough to affirm the brightness of the silver.

4th Place Tie: yinzermama

Another impressive and difficult frame. Photographed with great clarity and resolution in a somewhat distracting scene.
